Welcome

Centenary Summer Scholars is a co-ed academic program for rising 8th through 12th grade students. Located in Hackettstown, New Jersey, Centenary College provides a rich learning experience in which students can make the most of our wonderful resources.

Our summer programs allow students to explore their academic passions. We introduce them to subjects that their schools may not offer to them, while encouraging them to experiment with classes to see if they would like to pursue one as a career.

We offer both day and residential options as well as weekend stay for multi-session students. Students living nearby can take advantage of our academic programs and return home in the evenings. Students traveling from other states, or who enjoy the residential experience, are welcome to board for one or more sessions. Residential students attending multiple sessions have the option of staying on campus for free on Saturday night!

We offer three, one-week sessions, and students choose one course per session. Our eight course offerings are listed in the sidebar – we are continuing some of our most popular courses as well as introducing some new courses requested by our students. All sessions accept students at all levels.

Our talented staff and diverse group of students make for a remarkable summer experience. Helping to ensure another successful summer, most of our staff are returning for their third or fourth summer with us! Our directors, teachers and residential advisors put together an amazing program of classes and activities that ensures students are learning and having fun from morning to night.
