Centenary College lies in the heart of a stunning 150-year old Victorian village. Students enjoy the rich culture and scenery that the surrounding community has to offer, including the beautiful Victorian architecture in downtown Hackettstown. Our students, accompanied by a staff member, may walk to pizza parlours, ice cream shops, and other locales. We are also close to a mini-golf course and even a water park!

Reeves Student Center: Our newly renovated recreation center is open! It is the main hub for campus sports with playing courts, an indoor swimming pool, and gymnasium.

Residence Hall: One of the most popular features of our program, our residence hall has fully air-conditioned suites with bedrooms for every camper. Each suite has four bedrooms and two bathrooms oriented off of a main living room and kitchen. Each floor has common lounges with televisions, ping-pong and foosball tables, couches and quiet areas.

Camper Safety: Campus is patrolled 24 hours a day by Centenary College Security. Our residence hall, suites and rooms are card access only. The Summer Scholars staff live in the halls with the students, providing supervision at all times.

Community

Our skilled and enthusiastic staff is committed to teaching strong courses, leading fantastic activities, and maximizing the unique experience of a residential youth program environment. In addition to being teachers and activity leaders, our staff become role models and mentors.

The staff is a fantastic returning team and includes our program director, academic director, two residence life directors, teachers, and resident advisors. The directors oversee all aspects of the program, making sure the students are well engaged, growing academically and socially, staying safe, and having fun. Most staff live in the residence halls with the students to ensure 24-hour availability and supervision.

We incorporate the college’s energy and experience into the summer program and include our Summer Scholars in the exciting world of a collegiate campus. Join us for the summer of a lifetime and a college experience you will never forget.
