Free FAFSA Assistance Competion Seminars Scheduled
Hackettstown, N.J. – Centenary College will offer Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion seminars for members of the public at no cost. They will be held on two dates: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 6, 2013 at the Robert E. and Virginia N. Littell Technology Center lobby on Centenary’s Hackettstown campus (715 Grand Avenue) and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on April 9, 2013 at Centenary College in Parsippany (300 Littleton Road). These sessions are made possible through the 2012-2013 Federal College Access Challenge Grant (CACG), which is issued by the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA).
During these events, Centenary Director of Financial Aid Evelynne Blatt and the entire Financial Aid Office will work one-on-one with students and families to help them complete and submit the FAFSA online.
In addition to being open to high school students, members of the adult population are invited, including the unemployed, underemployed or those returning from military service.
“This is a terrific opportunity for people to learn how to submit their FAFSA form,” says Blatt. “It is our intention to answer questions and inform the public, so this experience is one that is positive and productive.”
Door prizes will be available at both sessions. To register, please call (908) 852-1400, ext. 2207.
