An Evening of Comedy Scheduled at Centenary College to Benefit Alumnus
Hackettstown, N.J. – Centenary College is hosting an Evening of Comedy and Entertainment Benefit Show on November 10, 2012, to help Centenary alumni Dan Citarella in his fight against cancer. The event’s proceeds will go towards relieving the cost of medical treatments and features seasoned entertainers Joe Moffa and Mark Dacey. It is being held at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre in the Edward W. Seay Administration Building (400 Jefferson Street, Hackettstown).
Joe Moffa has a straight-talking, unique style of comedy that is both direct and to the point. As a stand-up comic, he has become a club favorite, entertaining audiences nationally and appearing regularly in casino venues in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. His personality has enabled him to be featured on multiple radio shows as a guest and as a co- host.
Mark Dacey is a veteran performer of the New York metropolitan area whose live stage act includes a repertoire of more than 400 American standards, classic rock tunes, and comedy skits. In the last 25 years, he has performed at colleges, concert halls, coffee houses, theatres, saloons, radio and TV stations all over the Northeast, and his clients have included bigwigs such as Time Warner and Proctor & Gamble.
“Serving the community has always been one of the primary concerns of Centenary College,” says Deana Cynar, Director of Alumni Relations. “Now, with one of our alumni going through such a trying time, Centenary welcomes this opportunity to help Mr. Citarella and to provide the public with a chance to support him as well.”
Tickets cost is $50. Include your name, address and phone number on the check. This is a tax deductible contribution. Checks should be made to the Dan Citarella Fighting Cancer Fund. For more information, please call 973-534-3524.
