Hackettstown, N.J. – WNTI and Kennedy Events Services will sponsor the WNTI Stage Summer Music Festival on August 17-19 in Delaware, N.J., at the Knowlton Lions Club Pavilion. The festival is comprised of local and national performers who will play on two stages: the Main Stage and the Café Stage, which is sponsored by Dixon Brothers Energy.  A pavilion and a large tent will cover the stages, allowing the event to be held rain or shine.

This is the second year WNTI is staging the music festival in Knowlton, Township. Past performers include Rock ’n Roll Hall of Famer Ronnie Spector, Commander Cody, and George Kilby Jr. and the Road Dogs.

“It was necessary to continue this new tradition,” says Jon Lewis, Broadcast Manager at Centenary College.  “Anyone who is interested in music should take a look at what is going to be offered under the big tent in Knowlton this summer.”

This year, the event is being headlined by the Grand Slambovians ,whose most recent, self-titled album has been acclaimed as being, “Super and Natural,” by Gene Shay from Philadelphia’s WXPN.  Relix magazine declares that the Grand Slambovians’ music “energizes anyone who hears it.”

Alongside the Grand Slambovians will be performances by the Jim Keller Band, a group founded by the lead guitarist for the rock band Tommy Tutone,  known for their smash hit 867-5309/Jenny; Meta & the Cornerstones, a band fusing Afropop, hip-hop, rock and soul music to form an eclectic mix of sound that transcends the boundaries of any genre; the Good Rats Trio, which, according to The Rolling Stone magazine is “the most famous unknown band” and has a fan base of rock stars and celebrities, such as Kiss, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alec Baldwin and Rosie O’Donnell; and more.  For more information about the complete line-up, please visit www.wntistage.org.

“Attendees can enjoy one, two or three days of music, fun and food,” says Melanie Thiel, WNTI Director of Development.  “The cost is very reasonable and the experience will be sure to please.”

Tickets cost $10 per day or $25 for a three-day pass.  There is free parking for this opportunity, plus there is a local campsite nearby to accommodate overnight stay.  For more information, please e-mail Melanie Thiel, Director of Development, at thielm@centenarycollege.edu or at (908) 852-1400, ext. 2109.
