Resources and Workshops

The Northwest New Jersey Regional Women's Center is a private nonprofit organization established by the New Jersey State Legislature in 1987 to provide educational and counseling services to women and their families in Northwest New Jersey.

Our main location is Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey with service locations through Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties. Our programs are open to men and women throughout the region.

Book Discussions:

The Women's Center offers Book discussions and the Women's Center Library as a forum to share literary experiences and gain information. The Book Discussion Group meets monthly. The readings are selected from best-seller lists and reader recommendations.

A Contemporary Guide for Women Making Daily Living Decisions"- Designed and written by women for women who face decisions about their everyday issues with health, finances, careers, and family relations. "What To Do If ..." is now available for $9 plus s/h. Members pay only $7 plus s/h.  Contact the Women's Center to order copies.

"Women's Legal Rights In New Jersey: What To Do If..." - 4th edition. A legal rights booklet written with the help of our volunteer attorneys to provide information on everyday legal problems of special concerns to women.

Referral Service:

The referral service features assistance to other human services agencies and community organizations. Contact us for a referral to the right agency.

Speakers Bureau:

We offer presenters on a variety of topics related to personal and professional development for corporations, civic organizations, and other groups.

Women's Library:

The Women's Center Library consists of fiction, nonfiction and self-help literature ranging in topics from Alcoholism to Zonta International.

Workshops:

The Center provide affordable self-awareness, self-actualization, and self-improvement opportunities concerning a variety of issues such as:
