The 2010 Centenary College Writing Contest for Student Writers
The 2nd annual Centenary College Writing Contest is a chance for students to have their work published and win cash prizes. The contest is open to undergraduate students currently attending a college or university in New Jersey. The winners will be decided by the Prism editorial staff.
GUIDELINES 1. Up to 5 previously unpublished poems, no more than 5 pages total 2. Entries should be typed in 12pt font, Times New Roman, one-sided and double-spaced. 3. Include a cover sheet with the following information: your name, address, phone, e-mail, year in college, name of college attending, and poem titles. 4. Do not include name or address on poetry submissions. (The fee is waived for Centenary students.) 6. Checks (USD ONLY) payable to Centenary College – Prism Deadline: March 22, 2010
All finalists will be considered for publication.

Persona publishes poetry, short fiction, and short creative nonfiction written by students of Centenary College.
Submissions for Persona are open year-round and should be e-mailed to creativewriting@centenarycollege.edu with "Persona Submission" written as the subject.
Poetry: 1. Up to 5 previously unpublished poems, no more than 5 pages total 2. Entries should be typed in 12pt font, Times New Roman, one-sided and double-spaced.
Prose: 1. Up to 2 previously unpublished pieces - 5,000-word limit.
Visual Artist Guidelines: Send in your drawings, paintings, photography, and other visual artwork for consideration on our website. It will be featured alongside the writing and attributed to the artist.
* * * Prism - Annual Print Literary Journal - Guidelines:
Prism publishes poetry, short fiction, and short creative nonfiction written by students of Centenary College. Prism is open to submissions from November 1st until March 22nd. The journal is printed each May. Submissions should be e-mailed to creativewriting@centenarycollege.edu.
