Nature in Words and Images

Carly Booker - Snow Geese

The pilot course, Nature in Words and Images, invites creative responses to the natural world in the form of writing and/or digital photography.

The class took two field trips within the bioregion and also undertook a long-term investigation of a site on campus. Students then collaborate to produce combinations of text and imagery.

The first collaborative project was an accordion book based on our field trip to Merrill Creek Reservoir. Please click to see three examples of this project.
