Centenary College and the Hackettstown Community are organizing the Fourth Annual free, public Earth Day Celebration! Our itinerary is a work-in-progress. More details, additions, and changes are forthcoming.

All Day Events Schedule
All events are free and open to the public!
8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: Breakfast with the Birds
- Bird watching and nature walk starts at the Charles O. Hayford Hatchery directly behind the campus.

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Seay Administrative Building
Science Fair Display and Judging
11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the Front Lawn:
Food and vendor tables open all day
- Food and drinks
- “Green” and handcrafted products
Kid’s activities and Environmental Education tables will be open all day
Earth Day Passport Fun
- Upon registration at the event, participants will receive their free Earth Day passport and will be able to collect stamps and stickers from the many activities and vendors throughout the day.
- Collecting at least 70% of the stamps will allow the passport holder to pick up a gift bag at the registration table (while supplies last), as well as access to a half-price ticket to “The Unfortunates”, a Centenary Stage Co. production at 8pm on April 21st.

We are looking for volunteers to help out with our Earth Day event on the front lawn in several ways, so if you are interested, please see below and respond to the appropriate contact.
Faculty and Staff Volunteers:
Help with table/chair and small tent set up from 9 am to 11:30 am, and for clean up/breakdown from 4 - 6 pm on Saturday, April 30th. If you are interested in helping with one of these shifts, please contact Dr. Lynn Taylor (taylorl@centenarycollege.edu) .
Student Volunteers:
Community service help on two different days:
- Wednesday April 18, 2012 - "Neighborhood Clean-up" 10am - 2pm. Please contact Dr. Lauren Bergey at bergeyl@centenarycollege.edu.
- Saturday April 21, 2012 - "Earth Day Celebration", from 8 am until 6 pm in various capacities and time blocks, please contact Lynn Taylor at taylorl@centenarycollege.edu if you are interested in this.
