Dr. Linda L. Hunter is Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program at Centenary College. Dr. Hunter is a Registered Nurse, and received her Doctor of Medical Humanities degree from Drew University.  Prior to joining Centenary College, Dr. Hunter taught for twelve years in a graduate program in healthcare administration, and also served as the chair of that program.  Dr. Hunter’s previous healthcare experience includes being President & CEO of a home health agency.  

Dr. Hunter serves on the Board of Directors for the Bon Secours Charity Health System that includes three hospitals, a certified home health agency, two long-term facilities, and an assisted living and adult home facility.  A member of the Ethics Faculty Forum of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration, Dr. Hunter also served as Chair of that Forum.  Additionally, Dr. Hunter is a member of the NJ Regent’s Council for the American College of Healthcare Executives.


Dr. Hunter’s current research interests include graduate healthcare administration competencies and skills in relation to the changing healthcare environment, as well as interpersonal communication competence in the healthcare leadership and management environment.
