Services and Maintenance Requests

Laundry Services

There is a laundry facility in every building on campus.  Our apartment-style residence halls, Bennett-Smith and Founders, have laundry rooms on the 1st and 3rd floors.  All washers and dryers are available for Residential students ONLY during the academic year and breaks at no additional cost.

All washing machines on campus are rated High Efficiency which holds more clothing and uses less water than standard machines.  For best results, use only the recommended amount of High Efficiency (HE) Detergent.

Centenary has teamed up with ESUDS to allow students to check the status of available machines and to be notified when their laundry is complete.  Click the link to view the machines available in every location on campus and enter your email address to be notified when a machine becomes available and/or when your loads are complete.

The availability of ESUDS means less waiting for busy machines.  Please make sure to utilize the service and you can remove your clothes as quickly as possible so that other students can use them.

Maintenance of Machines:

Students are encouraged to submit maintenance request through ASI directly through the following link.Opens external link in new window Laundry Service Request

For maintenance issues/refund requests, please see your building’s RA or contact the Office of Student Life. When notifying please provide the machine number and location. Centenary College is not responsible for lost or damaged clothing.

Lost & Found Service

The Office of Student Life is the repository for lost and found articles. It is located on the main level of the Seay Administration Building (near the SAC). Any article found should be taken to this area. Articles will be kept for 30 days. Reminder: Names should be in books, bookbags, or purses, notebooks, and eyeglass cases as well as on all clothes including coats.

Mail Room Services

Mail Services is located in the Seay Building Lower level next to the Sunken Lounge. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. All students, faculty, and staff can receive full mail service on campus. Mail is brought to the US Post Office at the end of each business day.

Packages up to 1 lb. may be shipped to and from the mail room. Postage and packing materials are available for purchase.

All resident students are provided with a keyed mailbox which can be accessed during business hours. Commuter students can also receive mail at the mail room. All commuter student mail is held in the mail services area and can be accessed by asking one of the mail clerks.

Please bring your mailroom key with you to pick up your mail. If you have lost your key, please go to the business office to pay for a replacement key, and bring the receipt to the mailroom. You will then be issued a new key.

If you received a package that is too big for your mailbox, a slip will be put in your mailbox notifying you of the delivery. Bring the slip with you to the window to pick up your package. If you have a package, please pick it up as soon as possible. If a package is unclaimed after two weeks, it will be returned to the sender.

Postal regulations prohibit us from mailing personal packages over 1 lb. Please bring them to the U.S. Post office located near the corner of Grand Avenue and Main Street, Hackettstown.

If you have bulk quantities to be mailed, please bring them early enough to allow us time to process them or they will be mailed the following day.

The Office of Residence Life has collaborated with micro-fridge to provide an excellent and convenient service for students who participate. Students who wish to rent a unit may visit the website below. All units are delivered to the student room prior to their arrival and will be picked up after the student leaves, making move-in and check-out much easier.
