Jennilee Joost was a transfer student from Warren County Community College and Bucks County Community College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Centenary College with concentrations in Management and Marketing and a minor in Political Science.  She states, “The wealth of this educational range was due to the direct influence of the great professors and advisors.”

Jennilee also claims she was only an average student but, “I was able to grow academically because of the  individual attention I received as a student, and Centenary offers so many safety nets --- tutors, Academic Services, and additional help from the faculty.”  She is now pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration at Centenary College.

She started her path towards becoming a Transfer and Part-time Counselor by working in the Transfer Admissions Office for two years as a work-study student. Ms. Joost said she was interested in working with transfer students since she herself was very familiar with the fears of transferring to a new institution.  She hopes she can assist students experience as seamless a transition as she experienced, and "be a mentor for transfer students as my counselors were to me."

Jennifer Novak, Transfer and Part-time Admissions Counselor.

Jennifer Novak received her MA from Seton Hall University in International Relations in 2001, and also holds a BA from Kean University in History and an AA from Raritan Valley Community College in Social Science.

Jennifer first came to Centenary College as an adjunct instructor in the history department; a position she enjoys greatly and still holds part time. Later she became a Program Advisor for the CAPS program and for main campus part time students. With the college’s continued expansion Jennifer was able to assume the new position of Transfer and Part time Admissions Counselor.

"Having been a transfer student, I understand the concerns of transfer students. I do my best to ensure that each student is comfortable and has a firm understanding of what their path at Centenary College will be." As an instructor Jennifer sees and understands the importance of the diversity transfer and part time students bring to the classroom. She is committed to see students succeed at Centenary College and remains available and supportive to her students long after the admissions process is complete.
