About your Admissions Counselor

Shannon Jonas graduated from Centenary with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Leadership and Public Administration through Centenary College. Shannon grew up in Middlesex County, and is familiar with many of the high schools she now visits as an Admissions Counselor.

"I had a great experience at Centenary. I enjoy meeting high school students and their families, and sharing how coming to the college shaped my life. I played on the softball and volleyball teams, and this was one of the best ways I found to get involved and make friends. I was pretty shy when I entered college, but Centenary has a way of bringing you out of your shell. That's valuable to learn. It creates opportunities in your life you might otherwise miss."

Along with being an Admissions Counselor, Shannon is also an Assistant Coach for the Centenary College Softball team. Even though her college career has ended, Shannon still plays for a number of teams and leagues in New Jersey. This gives her a unique perspective on high school players who want to bring their passion for sports into their college career.
