Centenary College Tuition and Billing Policies

Billing & Payment Policies:

  1. Tuition and other charges are subject to change without notifications.
  2. Students are required to pay their full tuition charges before class begins.
  3. Tuitions and fees must be paid at or before registration unless alternate plans have been approved by the Business Office.
  4. Failure to pay in full shall result in automatic withdrawal from the courses.
  5. No official transcripts will be given if a student has unpaid tuition or other bills.

Book Fees:

Books are available to be purchased online through Efollet.com, Amazon.com, an alternate book reseller or over the phone at our main campus bookstore. Information as to which book to order and when to do so will be given prior to the first class but after a student's acceptance into the program.

Payment for Traditional Programs:

If the program is being taken in a traditional manner at the Hackettstown, NJ campus students follow the traditional payment plan options.

Payment for Online Programs:

For students attending courses via this delivery method the following payment guidelines are used.

  1. The student will be billed via e-mail by the Bursar 10 business days prior to the start of each course (not including the Orientation week).  A business day is defined as Monday through Friday.  Payment is expected no later than the Friday preceding the start of each course.
  2. If payment is not received by the close of business on the following Tuesday, the Bursar will send a follow up e-mail, advising the student that if payment is not received by the close of business that following Friday, then he/she will be denied access to the course, and may be subject to withdrawal from the program.

Refund Policy for Online Accelerated Undergraduate and Graduate Programs *:

Refund of a course’s charges will be made in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Withdrawal prior to the lst day of each course - 100%
  • Withdrawal between the 1st and 7th day of each course - 50%
  • Withdrawal after the 7th day of each course - 0%


The date used to calculate the specific period of enrollment shall be the date on which the student notifies the Online/Graduate Office, in writing on a Drop Form, of his/her intent to withdraw or take a leave of absence from the college or the course.  Refunds will be made in accordance with any federal and/or state loan or grant program regulations as applicable.

* Due to new regulations regarding the return of Federal and State funds, any student receiving Federal/State grants or loans should contact the Centenary College Financial Aid Office (ext. 2350) before withdrawing or taking a leave of absence.

Tuition and Charges:

Graduate Programs 

For students who apply after July 1, 2008 the cost per credit hour is $665.00 (US).  Each course in the MBA program is a three (3) credit course.

Undergraduate Programs

For students who apply after July 1, 2008 the cost per credit hour is $465.00 (US).  Each course in the BSBA program is a four (4) credit course.
