The Midnight Run

Preparing a delivery for the Midnight Run.

No, it's not a marathon!

The Midnight Run is part of a national program designed to provide food, clothing, and essentials to the homeless in urban environments.

Centenary College students maintain an active program where one night every month essentials are brought into New York City to aid the homeless and the poor.

During the month prior to each Midnight Run, volunteers are needed to fund-raise, and collect and sort items. Meal preparation, packing, and distributing are needed on the night of the run.

Suggestions for Donated Items:

We are looking for your old clothes! Please clean out your closets and bring any of the items below to the MIDNIGHT RUN Table in the Quad, or ask the Campus Life Office about our drop off area. Any contribution is appreciated!

  • Men’s jeans
  • Blankets
  • Sweatshirts
  • Long-sleeved t-shirts
  • Coats
  • New men’s underwear
  • New socks
  • Travel-sized shampoo*
  • Travel-sized soap or body wash*
  • Deodorant*
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste*

*We prefer travel-sized toiletries because it makes it easier for the homeless to carry around with them.
