Fresh Start Day - July 11, 2009

Welcome to Centenary College's 2009 Fresh Start Event! We are looking forward to meeting you! Fresh Start is an informative, interesting, and fun day that is designed to give you a chance to learn more about becoming a Centenary Student.

Fresh Start is for freshman students. Transfer students do not need to come to this event.

  • Choose one session that interests you; hear from our very own "experts"
  • Options are: Campus Safety, Transitioning from High School to College, Residence Life and Academics (Specific session descriptions to follow)

10:45am-11:30am

Students:

  • Meet your First Year Leader (FYL)
  • Meet your classmates
  • Put a rest to some of your orientations anxieties

Parents: Breakout Session #3

  • Choose one session that interests you; hear from our very own “experts” 
  • Options are:  Campus Safety, Academic Support Services, Your Student Athlete, Student Handbook 101,  A Parent’s Role and the Institution, and Career Services: Workstudy Program & Internships (Specific session descriptions to follow)

Several local restaurants will be providing special offers and discounts for you and your family after our FreshStart Event. Stay tuned for a complete listing of all participating restaurants.

Special Construction Parking Notice

Due to the  construction of the new Lackland Student Center, access to on campus parking may be limited on the day of the event. Please follow all signs and instructions when you arrive.

Also note: The parking area around Tannery Field is NOT a Centenary College parking area. Please do not park in this area or your vehicle may be ticketed .
