Laundry Services

Each residence hall has card operated laundry facilities.

At the beginning of the year each student receives a Student Identification Card. A dollar amount can be encoded on this card so you can use the laundry machines. You can add value to your card by depositing cash into the CoinMach Laundry Card Machine located in the Sunken Lounge of the Seay Building.

The cost of one wash is $1.25. One drying cycle costs $0.75. If a machine malfunctions or there are problems with the card machine please call 1-800-232-9274 or Campus Life ext. 2291.

Mail Room Services

Mail Services is located in the Seay Building Lower level next to the Sunken Lounge. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. All students, faculty, and staff can receive full mail service on campus. Mail is brought to the US Post Office at the end of each business day.

Packages up to 1 lb. may be shipped to and from the mail room. Postage and packing materials are available for purchase.

All resident students are provided with a keyed mailbox which can be accessed during business hours. Commuter students can also receive mail at the mail room. All commuter student mail is held in the mail services area and can be accessed by asking one of the mail clerks.

Please bring your mailroom key with you to pick up your mail. If you have lost your key, please go to the business office to pay for a replacement key, and bring the receipt to the mailroom. You will then be issued a new key.

If you received a package that is too big for your mailbox, a slip will be put in your mailbox notifying you of the delivery. Bring the slip with you to the window to pick up your package. If you have a package, please pick it up as soon as possible. If a package is unclaimed after two weeks, it will be returned to the sender.

Postal regulations prohibit us from mailing personal packages over 1 lb. Please bring them to the U.S. Post office located near the corner of Grand Avenue and Main Street, Hackettstown.

If you have bulk quantities to be mailed, please bring them early enough to allow us time to process them or they will be mailed the following day.

Telephone Service

The campus residence halls use a digital phone service which includes voice mail and local calls. Long distance calls are not included with this service.

Centenary College provides each resident with his or her own extension number and voicemail box. The student is responsible for providing the phone and phone cord.

For long distance calls, we suggest the purchase of a long distance calling card.

To learn your phone number:

  1. Plug the phone into the top jack, either A or B.
  2. Dial “0” ask the operator for your extension. You receive a four digit extension number that serves as your campus phone number.

To receive calls from off campus:

  1. Call the Main Campus number (908) 852-1400, followed by your extension number.
