![]() Centenary College Orientation - Transfer Student FAQs.
Academic AdvisorsYour transfer counselor will be your advisor for the beginning of your first semester and will guide you with registration. At a later date, an Academic Advisor will be assigned who is a member of the faculty from the department of your declared major.
AFC1001As a transfer student, it is not required that you participate in the AFC1001 program. This program is first time, full-time students. BooksCentenary's bookstore is located in the lower level of the Seay building in the area known as the "sunken lounge." It is part of the Follet national chain and is also accessible online. When you go into the bookstore you will notice there are tags in front of the books. Match your course name to the tag and your books will be directly behind it. There are often used copies but they go fast! Changing your class schedule
You will need an Add/Drop form from the Registrar's office. Fill it out and have your advisor sign it. Return it to the registrar and you should be done! The Add/Drop form is also available on line here. Credit transfers
Centenary College transfers up to 72 credits from a Community College and 96 in total if you have also attended a Four-year institution with a C- or better. A transfer counselor is able to complete an unofficial evaluation of your transfer credits at any point. Once you are enrolled in class and we receive all final, official transcripts, our Evaluator will provide an official credit evaluation. Food and snacksMeals in Centenary Cafeteria is provided by Chartwell's Food Service, and it's very good. There is always a great selection and lots to eat. Full-Time Commuters get 5 meals per week in the cafeteria. You may purchase more meals from the Food Service Director, Linda Gonia. Tillie's Grill, located at the rear entrance of the Seay Building, offers anything from chips to fries and chicken fingers. Starbuck's coffee served daily. Tillie's is also a great place to meet up with people and relax over a cup of steaming joe! HackettstownHackettstown is a small, Victorian town. The people are friendly and there are many great places to visit, shop and enjoy the area. Visit this page for more information about Hackettstown. ParkingWith a commuter parking tag (available at the business office, fee TBA) you may park in the Founders Hall Parking Lot, near Grand Street and Tannery Field.
