Centenary College Orientation - Blackboard.

Welcome to life as a Centenary College student!

All undergraduate students at Centenary College are provided a laptop for their academic use while enrolled as a full time student (p.s. the professors know when you are not paying attention or are updating your Facebook account). The laptop will become one of your most important tools while you build a future for yourself. You will have the opportunity to learn at any hour, to discover information from sources on the other side of the globe, and to be part of a digital as well as physical community.

To begin, you will need to log into Blackboard by using the same login information (username and password) you will use to sign into your Centenary laptop that was provided to you by mail. Blackboard is Centenary's learning and community management system - the location where you will be able to access your Centenary e-mail, find your course syllabus, submit assignments, check grades, collaborate with your instructors and fellow students, and access the information you will need to manage you academic program.

To access Blackboard

• Go to www.centenarycollege.edu and look for the Blackboard logo on the bottom right side or goto blackboard.centenarycollege.edu and look for Log in Here
• Enter your Username and password (sent to via a package in the mail). Passwords are case sensitive, so be sure to type the password exactly as was printed.
• Change/personalize your password right away, so that you can have your own unique and secure password.
• Note: When creating a new password, keep the following guidelines in mind:
  • Must contain a lowercase letter, and uppercase letter, and a number or special character (example: !, @, $)
  • Must consist of 6 or more characters
  • Cannot contain any part of your first or last name
  • Your password must change 5 times before you can repeat a password

Once you are in your Blackboard account please feel free to explore! Please take a moment to  review the helpful tutorial links found in the "Are You New to Blackboard?" section under the Welcome tab. There you will find information on how to navigate Blackboard.
