Online Writing Lab (OWL)

Academic Support Services believes you will get the most out of our tutoring services if you use the face-to-face offered at our on-campus location. However, if your schedule prohibits you from visiting us in person, you should take advantage of our OWL services by submitting your papers online.

For Centenary students, we guarantee a turn around time of 48 hours or less. For all other writers, we handle the papers on a first come, first serve basis.

Follow the steps below for submitting a paper to the OWL:

1. Prepare an email addressed to owl@centenarycollege.edu
2. Attach the paper you want tutored as a Microsoft Word Document
3. Include in the body of your email a description of the assignment you are completing, some questions or concerns you have about the paper you are submitting, and any pertinent information the tutor will need to know in order to best tutor your paper
4. Finally, please state your name, the name of the class your paper is for, and the name of the professor that teaches the course.*

* Please note: When you submit to the Online Writing Lab, you accept that your professor will receive a progress report and a copy of the email the tutor sends to you. The reason the professor receives this information is to keep lines of communication open between professors and tutors, as both your professors and tutors are simply trying to make you the best writer you can be!
