With the approval of the Developer’s Agreement from the Hackttstown Town Council, construction on the David and Carol Lackland Center will be underway shortly.

The Lackland Center will house a 22,000-square-foot performing arts center, which is expected to be the most sophisticated space of its kind in northwest New Jersey.  It will house a 500-seat theatre plus a black box theater, a dance studio, scene shop, a costume shop, green room and dressing rooms. The Center will be a cultural and educational destination with a variety of theatre and musical performances, lectures and other cultural and educational events.  The Lackland Center will also be a regional resource to business and community groups who can use its contemporary conference center to hold meetings and events.

As with any large scale construction project, the campus is experiencing temporary parking and related facilities issues.  Rest assured that the College is working with great urgency to remediate these situations and are collaborating with Town officials to seek solutions which are in the best interests of our students and the neighbors whose borders we share.

Our Web site will be updated on a regular basis to reflect the exciting changes that are occurring at the institution.  In addition, please feel free to call Todd K. Miller, Director of Physical Planning Planning and Construction, at (908) 852-1400, ext. 2440 or Debra Albanese, Vice President for Strategic Advancement, at (908) 852-1400, ext. 2379, if you have any questions.
