  1. Announcements – which contains all important announcements for the college.
  2. News – which primarily contains news from our Public Relations department, and Athletics results/news.
The goal of this change is to allow for greater exposure of announcements, which were previously 'lost' within the volume of PR/Athletics news.  Other enhancements include:
  • Sorting by date the announcement was made for improved readability.
  • Clicking a news heading opens the news article within my.Centenary instead of a new window – also for improved readability.
ITS would like to thank members of the Campus Life department and student body for their enhancement suggestions and on-going support for this endeavor.
 
More enhancements are forthcoming, as we continually strive to improve our all our services to you, our customers.

If you have an R61 contact IT for assistance!]]> Students, If you have a Lenovo R61 laptop, you may be eligible for a laptop upgrade.  To check your model number, look in the lower right-hand side of the screen near the hinge.  If it says “R61,” give the help desk a call at (908) 852-1400 x2362 to schedule an appointment to swap your laptop for a newer one.  We only have a limited supply of forty of the newer L412 models available. Don’t delay.  Get your laptop upgraded before the start of the new term. Thanks!

WHAT is Moodle and which classes are affected?
  • MOODLE is Centenary College's new course management system.  This will replace Blackboard for all courses. (face to face, blended and online)
  • Every course offered through the Centenary College course offerings will have a MOODLE class site available to the instructor and students.
WHEN does the MOODLE transition take place?
  • The switch to MOODLE is in progress and will be in full effect for the Adult Programs on August 14, 2011 and Fall 2011 semester for all others at this point Blackboard will no longer be active for course facilitation

There are now three options available to you: 1) Card Program Information - This will take you to the information page for the Cyclone Card System. 2) Participating Businesses - This will take you to an up-to-date list of participating local businesses.  This is hosted by the Hackettstown BID. 3) Manage Your Card - This will take you to the Cyclone Card management page where you or a family member can add money to your card. Avoiding...]]> Dear Campus Community, There has been an increase in phishing emails as of the past two weeks. These emails claim to be from the Centenary College Helpdesk. DO NOT REPLY TO THESE MESSAGES! Already replied to one? Change your password immediately and you will be ok. The Helpdesk will never be used for your password or personal information. If you suspect an email to be fraudulent or spam, please do the following:
                FROM OUTLOOK…
  1. Open a new email message and address it to abuse@centenarycollege.edu
  2. Then drag the suspected email to the “body” area of the new email, this will make the suspected message an attachment 
  3. After the suspected message has been attached, send the email and we will analyze it and update the filters
  4. Delete the email
FROM WEBMAIL… (Only works from Internet Explorer)    
  1. Open the spam message
  2. Select “Message Details”
  3. Copy the entire contents of the “Internet Mail Headers” box
  4. Close the “Message Details” pop up and then select the “forward” button 
  5. Paste the “Internet Mail Headers” info you copied into the message field and then forward the message to abuse@centenarycollege.edu 
  6. Delete the email

This new feature will make it much easier for those who need access your Cyclone Card account to add money. Before anyone can add to your account you need to click the link located in the list on the left side of your My.Centenary Landing page.  (Red Arrow)  This will create a valid account for you.  Without creating the account you will not receive email notification when someone other than yourself adds funds. Please Note: Your Account ID number is now the first nine digits of the number located on the lower, right-hand corner of the back of your My Cyclone Card. For someone outside of the college system to add funds the following link is used.
