Women’s Soccer Suffers Fourth Consecutive Loss
EWING, N.J. (September 12, 2010) – The Centenary women’s soccer team dropped its fourth consecutive game, losing to Husson in the TCNJ/adidas Classic, Sunday in Ewing, N.J. Senior Jazmine Farrell (Newton, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) scored her seventh goal of the season in the loss as the Lady Cyclones dropped to 2-4 on the year. HU improved to 3-2.
Husson outshot CC, 15-10, including 10-6 in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Ashley Denti (Sergentsville, N.J./Hunterdon Central) recorded six saves in the loss.
Farrell gave the Lady Cyclones a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute after winning a loose ball and sending a shot past Husson keeper Rozyln Peterson. But the Eagles scored twice in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into halftime, and then tallied once more in the second period to win, 3-1.
Centenary returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 15, with a road match at in-state rival William Paterson at 7:00 p.m.
