Volleyball Sweeps Rosemont To Open CSAC Slate
ROSEMONT, Pa. (September 15, 2010) – The Centenary women’s volleyball team opened its 2010 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule with a win, sweeping Rosemont, 3-0. The Lady Cyclones (2-7, 1-0 CSAC) defeated the Ravens (0-9, 0-3 CSAC) convincingly, 25-8, 25-21 and 25-21.
Up 3-1 in the first set, junior Devon Paffendorf (Hackettstown, N.J./Mount Olive) pushed the edge to 15-1 by holding serve for eleven straight points as the Cyclones won by 17. After a 25-21 win in the second game and with the deciding set tied at 21, senior Kelly Zegarowitz (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) served out the match to give Centenary its second win of the season.
The Lady Cyclones take a break from CSAC action with the Kean Invitational, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17-18, in Union, N.J.
