Building Communities Together

Are you looking to fulfill your graduation requirement of community service?

Are you interested in working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities?

If the answer is YES to either of these questions then this program might be for you!!

*  Building Communities Together is a program possible due to the generosity of the New Jersey Council of Developmental Disabilities.

*  The purpose of the program is to pair Centenary College students with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This pairing will accomplish two things – it will help to fulfill Centenary’s graduation requirements of community service and will integrate persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities into campus life.

*  Together the pairs can explore the campus, learn how to navigate Facebook, go to theatre productions, or go for coffee at the Greene Beans Café.  The opportunities are endless.

*  All activities will take place on campus, and participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities must be age 18 or older.

*  There will be a caretaker, staff person or Arc liaison in the general proximity of the activity.

*  If you are interested in getting involved in this exciting new venture please call Jeannette Weikel, Agency Advocate, at The Arc/Warren for more information. (908/689-7525, ext. 211)
