HUB Math and Writing Lab

 

The Academic Success Center is launching a Math and Writing Lab on Monday, February 7, 2011.

The Math Lab and Writing Lab is a drop in tutoring service taking place in the HUB located in the lower level of the Seay Building every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4PM-6PM.

Staffing the Math Lab will be Cindy Case, who is a Math/Science tutor for us, a lab assistant in the science department, and adjunct in the Math department.

Staffing the Writing Lab on Mondays and Wednesdays is Abbie Davis.  She is a tutor with Level I & II CRLA certification who has worked for us for almost three years and is completing her Masters degree in English at Montclair State University.

Gabrielle Nickas will staff the Writing Lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She is a tutor for us and an adjunct at Middlesex Community College and Brookdale Community College teaching writing.  She has her Masters in Communication and worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Writing Center at Monmouth University.

This service will be of particular interest to students enrolled in College Math, Quantitative Literacy, College English, and Composition and Rhetoric.

This will also be helpful to students with any phase of writing projects.
