Senior Will Livingston is ranked No. 2 at 133 by d3wrestle.com.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (September 29, 2010) – Five Centenary wrestlers were included in d3wrestle.com’s preseason rankings, released on Sept. 20. Returning All-American 133-pound senior Will Livingston (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny) led the way with a second-place ranking, behind the defending champion, Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Bebeto Yewah, who handed Livingston his only loss last season.

Last year, Livingston became Centenary wrestling’s first-ever All-American thanks to a third-place finish in the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. He fell to Yewah by way of pin in the final period despite a 6-2 advantage after the first period and an 8-6 lead after the second stanza. Thanks to his efforts, Centenary finished the tournament ranked 27th out of 93 teams.

Four other Cyclones are ranked in d3wrestle.com’s preseason poll. Seniors Dave Alsieux (Belmar, N.J./Manasquan) and Matt Regan (Boonton, N.J./Boonton) are Contenders at 141 and 165, respectively, and fellow classmate Jon Stillo (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) is Honorable Mention at 149. Sophomore J.D. Zitone (Montague, N.J./Port Jervis), a transfer from Delaware Valley, is a Contender in the heavyweight class.

Centenary opens its season with the Public Elimination Night on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 6:00 p.m. After that, the Cyclones will compete in the Ithaca College Invitational from Nov. 6-7.
