HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (September 21, 2010) – The Centenary women's soccer team (4-5, 1-0 CSAC) was able to record their second straight victory by defeating Wilkes University, 1-0.

The game was scoreless until the 62nd minute when senior goalkeeper Ashley Denti (Sargentsville, N.J./Hunterdon Central) booted the ball down the field. The ball took a long bounce over the defense where senior Jazmine Farrell (Newton, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) tracked down the ball and blasted in her ninth goal of the season. In addition to getting her second assist on the season, Denti was solid in net, registering six saves while recording the shutout. Wilkes sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Rohn stopped 11 shots in defeat.

The Lady Cyclones controlled the game throughout outshooting Wilkes 21-6. Junior Brittany Overland (Andover, N.J./Newton) was not able to put one in net, but had a stellar game. Overland tallied seven shots, four on goal. Junior Tatiana Kingston (Mountainside, N.J./Governor Livingston) and senior Jen Dexter (Kenvil, N.J./Roxbury) each had four shots on goal as well.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 25, when the Lady Cyclones travel to face Immaculata at 1:00PM.
