Databases And JerseyCat For All!

08/31/2010, 01:33 PM

Recently, library supporters statewide sent over 80,000 postcards and more than 76,000 letters to their legislators to protest proposed library budget cuts.  More than 700 of these postcards were signed right here at Centenary by students, faculty and staff.  Thanks to the overwhelming support of library users, the threatened cuts to our databases and the state interlibrary loan system were forestalled.  Although significant cuts were made to other statewide library services, our access to all EBSCO databases, RefUSA and JerseyCat -- for borrowing books through interlibrary loan-- remains fully available.

The Taylor Memorial Library continues to offer a wide variety of additional databases to students, faculty and staff.  Remember, to access these databases on campus or offsite, simply go to the Library’s Home Page (available by clicking “Library” on My.Centenary) and click on Databases.  Information about interlibrary loan can also be found on the Library’s web page.

If you have any questions or need assistance, the Library Staff may be reached by phone at ext. 2345 or by email at library@centenarycollege.edu.
