Community service opportunity

Volunteers are needed to help with a 5K Run/Walk being held in Hackettstown on Sunday, November 7, 8:00--11:00am to benefit the Career & Life Transitions Center for Women.  This organization provides counseling, education, and training to "displaced homemakers", who are women that have been out of the job market for years but suddenly have to support their families due to divorce or the death/disability of their husbands.

 

We need volunteers to do a variety of things, like standing along the race route to direct runners, serving refreshments, etc. Volunteers would need to arrive at 8:00am on Sunday, November 7 at the American Legion Pavilion on Willow Grove Street in Hackettstown. This will obviously be help outside, so they should dress warmly. There will be free bagels, fruit, coffee, etc for everyone. Any interested volunteers should contact me ASAP
