Centenary To Host Second Annual Ben Jurgensen Memorial Softball Game
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (September 28, 2010) – The Centenary baseball team will host its second annual Ben Jurgensen Memorial Softball Game, head coach Scott Kushner announced. The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Monroe Street Softball Field in Hackettstown, N.J., at 10:00 a.m.
Fans are encouraged to put a roster together of nine players. Each team will play a three-inning game of slow-pitch softball against the Centenary baseball squad. All participants are asked to donate $10 and pre-registered teams and players will receive a commemorative t‐shirt. Participants must sign the liability waiver in order to play.
Proceeds from the day will go directly to the Benjamin Whitman Jurgensen Scholarship Fund, named for the former Cyclone who passed away suddenly in the Fall of 2008.
