Centenary Golf Has Successful Outing At Moravian Fall Invitational
DANIELSVILLE, Pa. (September 16, 2010) – The Centenary golf team opened its Fall season with the Moravian Invitational, Thursday at the par 72, 6,437-yard Woodstone Country Club in Danielsville, Pa. The Cyclones finished in 16th-place out of 20 with a team score of 340, their best showing in the event, bettering the 352 they carded in 2009.
Junior John Manos (Hackettstown, N.J./Mount Olive) led the team with an 81 while freshman Wil Hawthorne, sophomore Brian Criscuolo (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) and freshman Kevin Peters recorded scores of 84, 86 and 89, respectively. Senior Sean Kelley (Roxbury, N.J./Roxbury) also competed and carded a 92.
Muhlenberg won the competition with a team score of 303 while Gettysburg’s Peter Ruymann posted the best individual score, carding a 73.
The Cyclones return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 21, with the Purchase College Invitational at 12:00 p.m.
