Hackettstown, N.J. – The Centenary College School of Professional Studies will hold a BBQ Open House and barbecue for anyone interested in enrolling in the education program for adult students. The open house will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.  Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Parsippany Learning Center at 300 Littleton Road.

This event provides great opportunities for those interested to learn about the adult-focused curriculum. Visitors will have the chance to tour the location, speak with Enrollment Counselors. Participants also can learn about how the College’s 147 years of accreditation provides the School of Professional Studies’ teachers with the tools to give students a personalized education, suited around their individual needs in their busy lives.
Visiting adults will be happy to know that the event is family-friendly. There will be food, snacks and snow cones for guests, as well as kid-friendly games. The Centenary College School of Professional Studies open house is a free event open to adult students and their families.

“Centenary College holds open houses for the community and prospective students throughout the year,” says Lisa Michalowicz, Dean of Adult Student Services at the School of Professional Studies. “We wanted to extend the same hospitality to our students in the adult programs. We wanted to give them a day they can come explore the school and get information, and bringing the kids along can make it a day out for the family. It lets everyone get involved in the education process, and it shows we know they need to put their families first and that we can design their education around their hectic schedules.”

First established in 1999, this School provides an entrepreneurial approach to the educational experience by offering professional studies to an adult population, allowing students to select the modality most conducive to their busy lifestyle.  Students can take classes in a variety of formats: one-night-per-week, completely online or through a blended approach, which combines online and in class methods.

The curriculum combines theory and practical experience, allowing students to apply knowledge acquired immediately.  Having conferred thousands of A.A., B.S.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees, the School of Professional Studies serves as an inclusive and collaborative learning community dedicated to preparing adult students to progress further in society and to contribute directly to the state’s economic engine.

An RSVP is not necessary, but would be greatly appreciated. To register for the event, please contact Director of Enrollment Management Michael Graziano at (973) 257-5190, ext. 5043, or email grazianom@centenarycollege.edu.
