Biographies Reference Bank - Provides biographical information on approximately half a million people, from antiquity to the present, along with thousands of images. It contains full-text articles from more than 100 volumes of biographical reference books published by H. W. Wilson, including Current Biography, the World Author Series, Nobel Prize Winners, World Artists, World Film Directors, American Reformers and numerous biographical books on musicians and composers throughout history. Also included are thousands of biographies from other respected publishers. This database contains millions of magazine citations (many of which are full-text) from all of the Wilson Indexing Databases, including all citations from Biography Index Database after 1984, as well as thousands of links to book review citations, including review excerpts and full-text reviews from Book Review Digest Plus. Business Searching Interface - Browse and search for country economic data, company profiles, industry information and market research reports. Corfacts Online (New Jersey Business-to-Business Directory) - Access information about more than 56,000 New Jersey companies in services and manufacturing. View, print or export data as mailing labels. Country Watch - Provides economic, political, social, investment and environmental data for more than 190 countries. CREDO Reference - Includes over three million full-text entries from reference resources, such as dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopedias, quotations and atlases, plus a wide range of subject-specific titles covering topics from art to accountancy, science to Shakespeare and law to literature. Digital Scriptorium - Contains medieval and renaissance manuscripts. It is searchable by text or image. Ellis Island - Search historically significant geneological and immigration records compiled from the archives at Ellis Island, a principal immigration station for the United States from 1892 to 1954, which is located in the Upper Bay of the Hudson River. FedStats - Includes statistics from more than 100 Federal agencies in the United States. Gale Virtual Reference Library - Search more than 32 reference books for information on diverse subjects, such as fashion, the environment, crime, world cultural leaders, religion, statistical information, sociology, ethics and media. Gender Watch - Provides full-text articles from unique and diverse publications that focus on how gender impacts a broad spectrum of subject areas. Its archival material dates from 1970 in some cases, and it is a repository of important historical perspectives on the evolution of the women's movement, men's studies, the transgendered community and the changes in gender roles over the years. Gender Watch is a specialized database within Proquest. After clicking the link for Gender Watch, select the box next its title in the list of available databases in Proquest and click "Continue" to begin searching the database. INFOVETS - Offers animal reference manuals, including an equine veterinary manual, a searchable animal health database, and a Consult-A-Vet feature that enables users to ask questions directly to affiliated veterinarians. To log on, click "Manuals Online" and obtain the required ID and password from Taylor Memorial Library. Jersey Clicks - Access multiple databases though one search portal provided by the State of New Jersey. Its scope includes health, history, business, education, science, current events, literature and popular fiction. When off-campus, a Taylor Memorial Library card number is required to log in. Lexis-Nexis - Access full-text articles from more than 6,000 news, business, legal and other sources. Its scope is international, and it offers access to the Shepard's Citations® service for all federal and states court cases from 1789 and a Company Dossier module that enables users to retrieve detailed company information and financial performance measures and to identify and compare companies matching specific criteria. Literature Resource Center - Find up-to-date biographical information, overviews, full-text literary criticism and reviews on more than 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world. Mudpie/Mdpclick - Provides design intelligence and forecasts fashion industry trends in design, retail, buying and business. Includes in-depth photographic reports on global fashion and color trends, trade fairs, retail destinations and major runway shows, a downloadable graphic, print and garment shape resource library and insightful consumer intelligence and industry news. ProQuest - Provides access to more than 125 billion digital pages of the world's scholarship in multiple fields, from arts, literature, and social science to general reference, business, economics, finance, science, technology and medicine. Citations may include links to full-text articles from PubMed Central or publisher websites. ReferenceUSA - Contains business and consumer research related to the United States and Canada, including new and existing businesses, new and existing home owners, new movers and dentists and physicians. Social Security Death Index - Contains the Death Master File (DMF) from the Social Security Administration (SSA) which currently has more than 86 million records. The file is created from internal SSA records of deceased persons possessing social security numbers and whose deaths were reported to the SSA. This file includes the following information on each decedent, if the data is available to the SSA: last name, first name, Social Security Number, state issued, birth date, death date, last residence and lump sum payment. The Social Security Administration does not guarantee the accuracy of the file. Social Work Abstracts - Created by the National Associaton of Social Workers, this database contains citations for 45,000 records; full-text articles are not provided. US Census 2002 - Search results of the 2002 United States census. WGSN - Offers fashion trend forecasting and analysis, CAD design, global industry news and reports and design and fashion guidance.
