On Saturday, April 30, annual Dad's Day will be here at Centenary sponsored the Inter-Sorority Council.
The day will begin at 9:30 with the father's registering in front parlor and then proceeding over to Dr. Dicks for coffee and tea.
The First event will begin 11:30, which is the Grand Prix in which all the sororities compete against one another in a tricycle race. If weather permits, a picnic lunch of hotdogs, hamburgers and fried chicken will then served out by the picnic table at 12 noon.
Following lunch will be outdoor games at 1:00 in the field behind Anderson. There are eight games in all, consisting such relays as a balloon race, legged race, an egg toss and a tug-of-war. All the dads and daughters will be challenging another in order to gain profit for their sorority.
The indoor games will be held in Reeves from 3:30 to 5:45. Two dance contests; the "Waltz" "Hustle" will be the First on agenda to start the indoor games. A look-a-like contest between fathers and their girls will the judged by some of our faculty along with a baldest father contest, a hat contest and furthest distance traveled contest. After the points have all totaled up. Dr. Dick will give the award to the sorority which accumulated the most.
As a perfect ending to a filled, eventful day. Free beer be served in the pub at 6:00.
