May Day,” which this year was held on May the twenty-fourth dawned bright and clear, with full promise of a bright and happy day. About half past three the Seniors formed in line on the porch of the Girls' Dormitory, and  from  there marched over in front of the Administration  Building.   Here throne had been erected, on which the Queen, Miss Harriet Master; looking as bright and sweet as the day itself, was seated.  The King who was Mr. Merrill Brown, at this point recited several verses fitting to the day and the occasion, to which the Queen answered with other verses.  When the Queen had been crowned, the seniors march to the Maypole, where they era the Morris Dance, accompanied an old English May-day, song. This being completed ice cream and cake were sold on the campus, while a candy table and punch bowl seem to receive their due share of the attention.   An archery contest held by all the seniors, which was won by Mr. Lester Dunn, who received as a prize the archery set. A late supper was arranged, but even then few were ready to leave the campus, and all vowed that they had enjoyed the day and that it had been a great success.
