About Us

Services - Librarians provide academic and general research assistance in a variety of ways, including training and guidance in information literacy, reference and research strategy. The staff of Taylor Memorial Library is trained in research techniques and is available to assist the Centenary College community in using reference resources. Ask a Librarian

Collection - Taylor Memorial Library houses more than one hundred thousand items, including books, print periodicals, DVDs, videotapes, audio cassette tapes and microfilm. Search the online catalog to find resources in the collection.

Databases - Taylor Memorial Library provides online access to more than thirty proprietary databases, which encompass academic disciplines offered at Centenary College. The databases are accessible anywhere on campus and most are available off campus as well. 

JerseyCat - JerseyCat is a program that enables students, faculty and staff of Centenary College to directly search and request resources from more than 500 participating New Jersey libraries. As part of its interlibrary loan service, Taylor Memorial Library also participates in OCLC, a program that provides interlibrary loan access to materials nationwide.

Archive - The Archive at Taylor Memorial Library contains artifacts that relate to the history of Centenary from its founding in 1867 to the present. Among the items curated by the Library are school publications, catalogs, student newspapers, yearbooks, photos, college memorabilia and works of art. A selection of digitized artifacts is presented at Centenary College Archive and on Facebook

Computers - Sixteen computers are available in the library. Microsoft Office and Internet access are provided. The public is charged a nominal per-page fee for printouts.

Donations - Taylor Memorial Library accepts books, textbooks, periodicals, DVDs, CDs, videotapes and audiotapes. Once received, donated materials are considered property of Taylor Memorial Library, and materials are added to its collection if they are in good condition and support Centenary College’s curriculum. Please call the Director of Taylor Memorial Library at (908) 852-1400 x2155 or send email to learn about current needs and procedures.

A Friends of Taylor Memorial Library Raffle

Stop in Taylor Memorial Library before February 29, 2012, to enter a raffle for the chance to win a signed copy of "Clockwork Prince," a young-adult novel by best-selling author Cassandra Clare, plus a huge, signed display book! The proceeds benefit Taylor Memorial Library.
