Classroom Equipment Instructions

1.  Turn Projector on by pressing the ON button on the station control panel. The button light will flash until the projector powers up and is ready for use.

2.  Select the appropriate function button:

• To use your Laptop:
• Connect the VGA cable and Audio wire to your laptop (these should be the only free wires on the station, the VGA cable has pins and the Audio is a 1/8^th inch input that plugs into the headphone jack on the laptop)
• Select Laptop from the station control panel
• If there is no Laptop button, select PC from the station control panel
• If laptop picture does not display on the projection screen within 30 seconds:
• For IBM machines: Push Fn+F7 on your keyboard and then choose LCD and Projector on the screen menu
• For HP machines: Push Fn+F4 on your keyboard 

Note:  Other types of laptops may have different key combinations to perform this function. Usually, the function key has a small picture of a monitor on it.

• To use the Desktop computer:
• Make sure the desktop computer in the station is turned ON
• Select PC from the station control panel
• The PC picture should display on the projection screen 

• To use the Doc Camera (Elmo):
• The document camera is located in the left hand sliding drawer
• Make sure the Doc Camera is turned ON
• Select the Doc Camera button from the station control panel
• Select Backlight on the unit for transparencies
• Select Toplight on the unit for books or paper documents

• To use the VCR or DVD player:
• The VCR/DVD combo unit is located in the center of the front door panel
• Make sure the VCR/DVD combo unit is turned ON
• Select the VCR/DVD button on the station control panel 

Note: To rewind or fast forward videos, you have to use the remote control, located in the small top drawer on the front of the unit
