How Much does the paper cost?

Paper prices vary depending on the type, standard letter sized plain paper costs a little over 1/2cent a sheet, Letter sized card stock costs  a little over 2cents a sheet, colored letter sized paper costs about 1cent.  All of these prices fluctuate, and these are just some of the more common sizes weights used. How long till my job is printed?

For small quantities, and simple jobs,  we will print your job as soon as possible.  We request you allow AT LEAST 2 BUSINESS DAYS for your print request to be completed.

For larger quantities, and jobs which require binding, please contact us in advance to find out a time frame.

What types of files can you print? Or, What type of file should I submit?

We can print:

  • Microsoft word
  • Microsoft Excell
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Adobe Indesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • JPG files

Please Note: We prefer that you submit them as a PDF,  (Adobe Acrobat File).

What are some common problems you encounter with customers files?

The two most common problems are:

  • fonts (typefaces)
  • borders

How can I avoid them?

Be sure to leave 1/4" margin on all sides of the page, as the  printer will not print in that margin. Avoid using any "Non Standard" typeface and if you do use a non standard typeface be sure you are submitting your document as a PFD file.

My file is too large to email, how can I get it to you for printing?

If your file is to large to email, simply copy it to a USB memory stick, (flash drive), or burn it to a CD and physically bring it down to us and we can help you.

I'm in a rush and need copies for my class, can I stop by and have you make them while I wait?

While we make every effort to accommodate your request, we discourage this.

Yes, we can make copies while you wait, if it is a small quantity and a small document. However, our machines could busy running other jobs, and it's always possible they might be down for service. So we highly encourage that you submit your job 48hrs in advance.

Additionally, there are TWO copiers for the faculty to use, one is located in the lower level of the Taylor Memorial Library, and the other is located in Brotherton Hall room 109.
