140th January Graduation and Commencement Day Schedule

Please note:

  • Tickets are required for this ceremony, each Graduate will receive four(4) tickets.
  • Children are not allowed on laps and count towards the use of a single ticket per child.
  • No strollers are permitted inside the gym during the ceremony.

Commencement Day - Saturday, January 10, 2015.

8:30 a.m  to 10:30 a.m.:  Commencement Breakfast 
       Dining Room, Lackland Center
       Reservations are REQUIRED.

10:00 a.m.:  Robing and Lineup

  • Location, TBD

11:00 a.m.:  140th January Commencement - Processional.

Commencement Day Instructions:

  • Before lining up, graduates must pick up their cards at the table located in their designated meeting area.  The cards must be presented to the reader during the ceremony. No changes may be made to the cards.  (Graduates with names that are difficult to pronounce may write their names phonetically.)
  • Graduates will be lined up by degree and should not change position once lined up.
  • An orderly procession will honor the graduates and their guests.
  • Participants are expected to stay until the conclusion of the ceremony.
  • Ushers will direct graduates to their seats.
  • Following the Commencement address, ushers will direct graduates to the stage.  When the name is read, a diploma cover will be presented to the graduate.
  • A professional photographer will be taking photographs of each graduate as he/she crosses the stage.  Click here for information on ordering a graduation photograph.
  • At the conclusion of the ceremony, there will be a Recessional.  Ushers will be present to direct the graduates.

Please do not leave personal belongings unattended during the ceremony.
