Scholarships for Transfer Students Entering Fall 2013 and Spring 2014

  • The incoming Fall 2013 Transfer class received an average of $15,000 in grants and scholarships from all sources including federal, state, and institutional funds.
  • Over 95% of the Fall 2013 Transfer class received grants or scholarships from Centenary College.

Admitted students are automatically reviewed for the following scholarships during the admission process. Students will be notified of their award with their admissions packet. These scholarships are renewable for the number of semesters indicated on the initial award notice and as long as students maintain continuous full-time enrollment and meet the minimum standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Awarded to entering students, up to $13,000 may be awarded to students who are active members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).

Faculty Scholarship

Awarded to entering students, up to $12,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

George Whitney Scholarship

Dr. George H. Whitney served as President of Centenary Collegiate Institution for nearly 26 years from 1869 - 1896. Awarded to entering students, up to $11,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA.

Trustee Scholarship

Awarded to entering students, up to $10,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Academic Achievement Scholarship

Awarded to entering students, up to $9,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

Merit Scholarship

Awarded to entering students, up to $6,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA.
