Scholarships for Transfer Students Entering Fall 2014 and Spring 2015


Did you know?

  • The incoming Transfer 2013 class received an average of $20,000 in grants and scholarships from all sources including federal, state, and institutional funds.
  • Over 85% of the Transfer 2013 class received grants or scholarships from Centenary College.

Admitted students are automatically reviewed for the following scholarships during the admission process. Students will be notified of their award with their admissions packet. These scholarships are renewable for the number of semesters indicated on the initial award notice and as long as students maintain continuous full-time enrollment and meet the minimum standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).


Faculty Scholarship


Awarded to entering students, up to $13,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA.


George Whitney Scholarship


Dr. George H. Whitney served as President of Centenary Collegiate Institution for nearly 26 years from 1869 - 1896. Awarded to entering students, up to $12,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.


Trustee Scholarship


Awarded to entering students, up to $11,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.


Achievement Scholarship


Awarded to entering students, up to $9,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.


Merit Scholarship


Awarded to entering students, up to $6,000 may be awarded to students with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

 

Other Awards Available


Alumni Scholarship


This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to children or grandchildren of Centenary College Alumni.


Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

Family Plan


A 10% discount off full-time undergraduate tuition is offered to students who have family members concurrently enrolled at Centenary.


NJ STARS II


Up to $2,500 (in addition to the NJ STARS II scholarship) may be awarded to students in the NJ STARS II program.


Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship


Awarded to entering students, up to $2,000 may be awarded to students who are active members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).


Recognition Award


This $1,000 award is offered to students for completion of an associate’s degree.


United Methodist Program
