Biography
Raised primarily in Miami Florida, Richard is currently in his third year as an Assistant Professor of English Literature. A 2010 graduate of Purdue University, Richard teaches literature courses on the Middle Ages, particularly Old French and Middle English Romance. In addition to teaching literature, he is Director of the Centenary Writing Collaboratory—a new peer-to-peer writing center that aims to address the quality and effectiveness of students’ written communication at the College.
Research
Richard’s primary research is in Medieval Literature, with special emphasis on male friendships, masculinity, gender and sexuality in romance and epic. He also conducts research on writing center pedagogy and administration.
