Fashion Degree -
Merchandising Concentration

Merchandising is not about being a store clerk. This degree program prepares students for careers in the fashion industry as merchandisers, retail managers, fashion buyers, visual merchandiser, fashion show coordinators, stylists, fashion event planners, product managers, technical designers, and product developers.

This program is unusual because it is a BFA in Merchandising and not a BS. In addition to knowing about retailing, merchandising, and buying, Centenary merchandising students learn; how clothing is constructed; the technical aspects of clothing design; the properties of textiles; how design elements relate to clothing design and visual displays; and how to create look books and display board. Employers really like the set of skills our students bring to the work place.
