Pay is determined by how many years a student has worked. First year work study students earn $6.15 per hour. Second year work study students earn $6.25 year. Third and fourth year work study students earn $6.50 per hour. Read Across America Tutors, Admission Ambassadors, Lifeguards, HUB tutors and Equine Center workers receive higher rates. Students work an average of eight hours a week and are paid once a month in check form. Direct deposit is not available.
Workstudy time sheets must be filled out properly and turned in before but no later than the below due dates otherwise, a paycheck cannot be distributed for those hours worked until the following pay date. It is both the Workstudy student's responsibility as well as their workstudy supervisor's responsibility to be sure that time sheets are completely and properly filled out and turned in to the Payroll Office by the due date. No student will get paid unless ALL of their paperwork has been completed in the Office of Career Services and they have received a clearance letter.
All hours must be posted on time sheets and signed by student and supervisor or your check may be delayed.
