Letter from the Director

Hello! My name is Tiffany Zappulla and I am thrilled to be serving as Director of the Centenary College Career Development Center. Thank you for taking an interest in your student's success. Parents play a major role in students' career decision-making process, and by encouraging your student to visit us early, you increase the chances that he/she will find long-term career satisfaction.

I will never forget this quote from a recruiter from an HR-NY networking event I attended: "During interviews, we can definitely tell which students have visited their career center. It makes a big difference." - Ed Veloz, Recruitment Officer, TD Securities.

The sooner students visit our office, the sooner they can begin to think about the options they have for using their time outside of class with their career goals in mind. The Career Center offers students valuable resources, including:

  • Internships - The need for experience on an undergraduate resume is growing more than ever, and so is our internship program, with more than 150 students interning each year
  • Resume/Cover Letter Development - Personalized advisement on articulating a student's value and skill set to employers
  • Career Fair & Workshops - The spring career fair draws at least 50 employers, and workshops and networking opportunities allow students to make contacts in various industries
  • Alumni Mentoring - Students can be paired with an alumnus in their field of interest, who can provide career path guidance and valuable insights
  • A Lifetime Guarantee - All of our services are available to students anytime after graduation

As you can see, we have many resources available to help make your student competitive in today‚Äôs job market, and it is our hope that you will encourage your student to take advantage of them.

Should you have any questions about Career Development at Centenary College, please do not hesitate to contact me.
