 Letter from the Director

Hello! My name is Tiffany Zappulla and I am thrilled to be serving as Director of the Centenary College Career Development Center. We have many exciting events and developments lined up this year to help make our students competitive in today’s job market. We are here throughout the semester and summer to assist with resumes and cover letters, job search, networking skills, business etiquette, and more. Students of any class year can attend workshops to help them build their professional profile, and the Career Center partners with various departments to encourage students to start thinking of their career path from day one.

Knowing that real-world engagement will make students stronger candidates for the global workforce, we build relationships with local and regional employers to create job and internship opportunities that supplement a student’s field of study and give them the skills and experience they need to secure gainful employment upon graduation.

The sooner students visit our office, the sooner they can begin to think about the options they have for using their time outside of class with their career goals in mind. The Academic Internship Program provides students with the support they need to pursue an off-campus internship opportunity. The need for work and internship experience on an undergraduate resume is growing more than ever, and so is our internship program!

The Career Center also comes with a “lifetime guarantee”: students are able to take advantage of the Center at any time after graduation. Likewise, we prioritize outreach to our alumni not only to help them be successful, but for them to share their successes and guidance with current students through our Alumni Mentor Program.

Your role as a parent is integral to your student’s success. Parents play a major role in their children's career decision-making process, and by encouraging your son or daughter to visit the Career Center early, you increase the chances that he or she will find career satisfaction. Should you have any questions about Career Development at Centenary College, please do not hesitate to contact me.
