Adult Studies Center (ASC)

The Adult Studies Center (ASC) provides tutoring services to all Adult and Professional Programs students at no cost. You can receive tutoring on your own schedule since you will work with a tutor to set up a time and place that are convenient for you to meet. You are free to meet with a tutor one-on-one or in a small group.

Below are some of the courses/subject areas that we provide tutoring in:

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Mathematics
  • Public Speaking
  • Software Applications ( MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Statistics
  • Writing

To schedule a tutoring appointment, please send an email to asc@centenarycollege.edu with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Cohort
  • The course/subject area(s) you would like assistance in
  • Your availability

 

The ASC also provides Tutorials, which are sessions led by a qualified and trained Tutorial Leader. Tutorials are designed to help you prepare for certain courses. Below is a list of our currently offered Tutorials:

  • Excel Basics (open to all students)
  • Pre-Algebraic Modeling (for students entering MTH115)
  • Excel Statistics I (for students entering MTH150 and MTH210)
  • Excel Statistics II (for students entering BUS309 and BUS310)
  • Excel for Quantitative Analysis (for students entering GBA609)

You do not need to do anything to sign up for these Tutorials. The Adult Studies Center will contact you in the weeks prior to your course start dates.
