2010-11 (Junior): Finished season with a 16-8 record…went 6-5 in tournament action and 10-3 in duals action…also recorded three of his victories by fall and four major decisions…placed second at 125-pounds at the Bob Quade Invitational on Dec. 5…fourth in the Metropolitan Conference Tournament…ranked as high as first in the conferece during the season…selected as an NWCA Academic All-American.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Finished 15-12 on the year…went 8-6 in tournament action and 7-6 in duals events…tied for team lead with six pins…also recorded two major decisions and one technical fall…took second at the Bob Quade Tournament on Dec. 6…finished third at the Ursinus Invitational on Jan. 16…Metropolitan Tournament run ended in the semifinals of wrestlebacks…ranked fifth at 125 in final d3wrestle.com Metropolitan poll.

2008-09 (Freshman): Did not wrestle while at St. Peter's College in Jersey City.

High School and Personal Data: Four-year starter on the wrestling team at Wood-Ridge High School…finished with a career record of 133-18…four-time state qualifier…served as team captain his senior year…three-time county placewinner, including first-place in 2007…region finalist and four-time region placewinner…four-time district champion…2008 District 15 Most Outstanding Wrestler…has two sisters, Therasa and Gabriela…son of Donna and Jose Vega…born on Dec. 14, 1989. “I came to Centenary because I know I can get a great education and be a part of a top wrestling team.”
