Lorie Khalil returns for her third season as the Head Coach of the Lady Cyclones Basketball program. Last winter, she led Centenary to a 12-13 overall record and a qualifying spot in the Skyline Conference Tournament. This winter she looks to make the Lady Cyclones presence known in their first season in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC). Khalil is a 2003 graduate of Moravian College, where she was a two –year member of the women’s basketball team. Prior to transferring to Moravian, Khalil originally attended Delaware Valley College where she also played two –season for their women’s program. While at DVC, she was a participant on their 2000-2001 ECAC Mid –Atlantic Region Championship team. Before her college basketball career, she was a very successful three sport athlete at Catasauqua High School, in Pennsylvania. Khalil has been coaching camps for the past eight years, including being a counselor at such places as the University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, Villanova University and WNBA New York Liberty camp. In addition to her basketball coaching responsibilities at Centenary, Khalil is also the Assistant Coach with the Women’s Lacrosse team and the Director of Field Management.
Jen Behagg enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Centenary College Women's Basketball program. Prior to joining the Cyclone staff, Jen was a standout point guard at Moravian College, Bethlehem PA. During her playing career as a Greyhound she was a four year starter and a team captain in her senior season. Behagg led Moravian to three MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) finals appearances and three ECAC Tournament appearances. She was a member of the Moravian College team who set an NCAA team record of 35 consecutive free throws made in one game. In 2003-2004, Coach Behagg was named as the team’s most valuable player. She was a three-time selection to the All-Tournament team at the Starters -Moravian College Winter Classic. Presently, Jen is in second place, among the all-time assists leaders in Moravian College history. Coach Behagg graduated from Moravian in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a graduate of Pope John High school in Sparta, NJ where she also had a standout basketball career as a high school player. Coach Behagg currently resides in Hamburg, New Jersey and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Management at Centenary.
James (J.J.) Cusick enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Lady Cyclones Basketball program. Cusick graduated from Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY) in 2004. Prior to that, he attended Immaculata High School (Somerville, NJ) where he was a member of the basketball team for four years. He also coached at Immaculata’s Basketball Camp for two summers. Cusick brings over 10 years of playing experience to the team and is adept at shooting technique and guard play. In addition to his coaching duties, James is also the Athletic Administrative Assistant at Centenary College. Some of his responsibilities with the Women’s team will include coordinating travel and handling the team budget. Coach Cusick currently resides in Hillsborough, NJ. |
