Cyclones Place 7th at Yeshiva Tournament
(9/11/07) The Centenary Golf team opened the 2007 Fall season earlier today at the Yeshiva UNiversity Tournament, held at Hudson Hills Golf Club in Ossining, NY.
Despite the falling rain, which fell off and on most of the day, the Cyclones managed a team score of 405. Junior Kevin Cronin (Mount Laurel/Lenape) shot a team best 89, tying him for 18th overall. St. Joseph's (LI) won the tournament with a team score of 311, including the low individual Adam Coello (76).
The rest of the Cyclones scoring finished like this: Sean Kelley (99), Chris Picano (107), Matt Molloy (110), and Hiro Watayo (125).

Centenary Host Long Island Pair in Final Match of Season
(5/4/07) In the final match of the golf season Centenary played host to St. Joe's-Patchogue and Farmingdale State on Friday afternoon. The Cyclones totaled a team score of 371, unfortunately it was good enough to take down either of the visiting squads. Farmingdale won the event with a 327, while SJP finished just four-shots back with a 331.
For the Cyclones Kevin Cronin (Mount Laurel/Lenape) saved his best for last, coming in with the team low 89. Justin McErlain (Deptford/Deptford Twp.) and Kyle Lendach (Dunellen/Dunellen) each recorded 93's, while Matt Molloy (Westmont/Haddon Twp.) followd with a 96. Freshman Rob Long (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) finished with an even 100 on the day.
Cyclones Drop Both Sides of Final Road Match
(4/30/07) Centenary traveled to Neshanic Valley Golf Club on Monday to take on Stevens and NYU in their final road match of the spring. In by far the windiest conditions of the season, the Cyclones struggled dropping the match to both the Ducks and the Violets.
Coming in with low for the Cyclones, who totaled a team score of 439, was junior Kevin Cronin (Mount Laurel/Lenape) with a 101. Bryan Watkinson (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central) and Matt Molloy (Westmont/Haddon Twp.) were just behind Cronin with scores of 102 and 105 respectively.
Centenary Makes Comeback in Day 2 at Bethpage
(4/20/07) The Centenary Golf Team pariticpated in the Farmingdale State Invitational the last two days at Bethpage State Park's Red Course. The Cyclones improved nearly twenty strokes from Day 1 to Day 2 combining for Touranament total of 765 (392 - 373).
Senior Justin McErlain (Deptfrod/Deptford Twp.) was the low Cyclone finishing 17th in a field of 25, shooting a two-day total of 180. McErlain went on the Day 1 with a 95, but rebounded on the second day with his low round of the season a very respectable 85. The rest of Cyclones, Matt Molloy (191), Kevin Cronin (193), Kyle Lendach (201), and Rob Long (213), finished in order 19th - 22nd.
Centenary Splits Home Match with Stevens and Arcadia
(4/13/07) The Centenary Golf Team notched their first victory of the season today, when they split a tri-match with Stevens and Arcadia University. The Cyclones shot a season low 368 against Stevens' 349 and Arcadia's 394. The afternoon's results moves the team to 1-2 on the season.
Senior Justin McErlain (Deptford/Deptford Twp.) and freshman Kyle Lendach (Dunellen/Dunelllen) led the Cyclones with a pair of 87's. Kevin Cronin (Mount Laurel/Lenape) recorded his best round of the spring with a 95, while Matt Molloy (Westmont Haddon Twp.) and Bryan Watkinson (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central) rounded out the scoring with 99 and 102.
Cyclones shoot 390 at Moravian Invitational
(4/5/07) The Centenary Golf Team shot a total of 390 today at the Moravian College Invitational, held at Southmoore GC in Bath, PA. The team score placed the Cyclones 19th out of the 20 Teams who participated.
In his first action of the fall, Centenary senior Justin McErlain (Deptford/Deptford Twp.) tied teamate Matt Molloy (Westmont/Haddon Twp.) for the team team low of 94, each of them tying for 86th. Senior Bryan Watkinson (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central) was next for the Cyclones shooting a 95, while Rob Long (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) and Hiro Watayo (Tokyo, Japan) rounded out the team scoring with 107 and 115 respectively.
Cyclone Golf Drops Opener to FDU-Florham
(4/2/07) Led by a 75 from sophomore Greg Stockley, the College at Florham Devils knocked off Centenary by a score of 316-400. The season opening loss drops the Cyclones to 0-1.
FDU-Florham freshman Conor Walsh finished a shot behind Stockley, shooting a 76, while sophomore Pat Walsh shot an 81. Centenary was led by freshman Kyle Lendach (Dunellen/Dunellen) who shot a round of 90 while sophomore Matt Molloy (Westmont/Haddon Twp.) fired a 96.
