Centenary's undergraduate degree completion program is designed to help traditional and accelerated degree students fulfill their academic requirements.
If you are an adult student looking to resume your undergraduate studies, a degree completion plan will help you finish your degree quickly and efficiently. Your academic adviser can tailor a degree completion plan based on your individual needs.
Students often ask, 'What is the quickest way to complete my degree?' Here are the undergraduate degree completion program options available at Centenary:
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP) - If you already have the knowledge, then take an exam instead of the entire course. CLEP can be part of your degree completion plan.
- Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) - Get college credit for knowledge acquired from work, school, or personal experience. It's a valuable way to finish a college degree.
- Accelerated Online Courses - Take courses from the convenience of your home or office. Each course lasts only eight weeks. Courses are available to satisfy associate degree and bachelor degree completion programs.
- Accelerated On-Ground Courses - Take an accredited undergraduate college class one night per week for eight weeks instead of the usual two classes per week for fifteen weeks.
More about the College Level Examination Program:
Centenary College offers CLEP exams at our main campus in Hackettstown, NJ, and on our Professional Studies Center in Parsippany, NJ. We highly recommend you consult with your Academic Advisor prior to making arrangements for the CLEP.
Please note:
- A maximum of 30 semester hours of CLEP may be applied toward a Bachelor’s degree and may not be taken during the last 32 credits of matriculation for a bachelor's degree.
- Also, students may take CLEP tests that do NOT mirror any previous coursework at Centenary or other colleges.
